With over 16 years of experience working in the hotel industry, Mike is a seasoned executive with a talent for identifying opportunities and delivering solutions.
At Hotel Effectiveness, he focuses on working with new and existing clients. He spent many years at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in a variety of senior executive leadership roles including operations, marketing, and technology.
As Senior Vice President of Reservations & Guest Relations, he was recognized by the IAHI (IHG Owner Association) with its Distinguished Service Award for his service to the IHG franchise community.
Mike graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia and holds a bachelor's degree in Finance and a master's degree in Business Administration from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom.
Taylor has worked in the hospitality industry for almost 15 years in operations and corporate roles with an interest in labor efficiencies and data analytics.
He leads product development at Hotel Effectiveness and focuses on improving our analytical tools and technology. Taylor spent two years with RealTime Hotel Reports, a start-up that was later acquired by Smith Travel Research.
Taylor then joined InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) for a number of years where he managed a global team of business analysts. Before leaving IHG, Taylor managed the labor planning and scheduling globally for more than 2000 employees where he developed an expertise in optimizing labor in service related businesses.
Taylor earned his bachelor's degree from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
